Oceans & Rivers
Oceans and rivers provide another essential part of our future, yet they are becoming more and more polluted with plastic and other waste that we are throwing away.We are supporting initiatives around the world working to remove the plastic from our oceans, encourage new life in our rivers and seas and finding better, innovative solutions for the things we throw away, whether it’s recycling, or turning it into something even more useful.
Rainforests
Rainforests are the lifeblood of our planet, and our future. They clean the air we breathe and provide a home to millions of beautiful species. They cover only 6% of the planet, but are home to over half of the plants and animals. Sadly, they are being torn down at a rate of 4000 football fields per hour. We are supporting organisations and charities helping to keep these forests alive, around the world.
Earth
The world works in perfect harmony with itself. Soil plays a vital role in the natural order of things, absorbing carbon and providing the necessary nutrients to grow our food and crops, but we are demanding too much from our land, and we’re struggling to grow enough food to support the growing number of people and animals. We are committed to supporting those restoring our ecosystems, repairing our lands and investing in professional education for how to best protect our soil.
Air
As technology develops and society expands, our demand for energy is increasing. Energy is changing fast, but it needs to happen faster. Not just in power, but in heating, building and transport.We are here to help speed up innovation by backing some of the most promising new ideas and supporting the expansion of already existing solutions.
Emergency Relief
We will reserve part of our funding for national emergencies or climate related disaster relief. In times like this, it is important to act fast, and we will offer a solution that is ready and waiting to support those in need during times of crisis.
