For his last three and a half years at Universal, Jamie was responsible for the international exploitation and planning from all of Universals UK labels (Virgin EMI, Island UK, Polydor UK, Decca and Capitol UK). Prior to that, Jamie was International Marketing Director at Universal’s US East Coast label Groups for over 4 years, which included Republic US, Island Def Jam and Motown Records. During his time in this role, he was a key player and creator of global launch plans for the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Bon Jovi, The Killers and many more.

International at Universal Music is a microcosm of a record company whereby all aspects of a records release is planned and carried out. This includes digital marketing & PR, brand partnerships, sync, TV & radio marketing, overall social media strategies and of course complex promotional tours around the world. Jamie has expert knowledge of all key music markets plus an enviable list of contacts that include major management, presidents for all the key labels and point people in all relevant music markets around the world.

Now a Managing Director, Co-Founder, EVP & Consulting Advisor across various businesses in music, entertainment, digital media, sustainability & tech, his understanding of global business frames everything he does with talent management, also helping to create global platforms to launch and support creatives, artists, brands, and events with sustainability at its centre.

He currently holds executive roles at three separate companies: starting with Co-Founder & Co-Managing Director of Whole Entertainment, which is a full-suite talent management and consulting agency supporting a roster of creatives with world-class management, business and label services since it was established in 2016. Whole is committed to making the company carbon neutral by developing low impact practices and carbon off-setting.

Additionally, Jamie is Executive Vice President of Entertainment at UMA Entertainment Group, Chaired by Harvey Goldsmith, whose projects include Earth Aid Live and HERO The App.

UMA Entertainment Group is dedicated to progressing environmental sustainability and social good through the power of technology, music, TV and immersive events.

Jamie and the team will be launching various products and initiatives over the next five years, starting with Earth Aid Live and HERO in 2021; a series of global benefit concerts featuring superstar artists, ambassadors and global media partners with the launch of its companion sustainability app, HERO.

HERO is a consumer app that looks to solve the problem of individual actions working on a global scale to solve the challenge of climate change, meeting the top-down (systemic, political) with the bottom-up (individuals). Advised by a team of scientific and behavioural elites, HERO will become a category king in impact tracking and is set to be endorsed by some of the biggest names, and brands in the world, for which Jamie is responsible.

Finally, Jamie is also Co-Founder & Global Director of Partnerships at the London based, integrated digital marketing agency, Sweetshop Media, whose clients include Universal Music, Sony Music, Nokia, Ellesse, Napster, Melody VR and Sam Branson.
